I worked with them and helped create Cotton Pickin' Soldier, a book detailing Roy's life and the amazing sacrifices he made for his country.       Jeff Smith had written a book about the journey he and his family took after he learned he needed heart surgery. I worked with him to create a polished manuscript that he was proud to submit to publishers. He said these nice things about working with me: "I had the opportunity to work with Walter B.     Lawrence A. Wilcox hired a company to help him edit his book. He wasn't satisfied with the results and reached out to me. We polished his manuscript and turned it into a book that he is happily submitting to a publisher. Here is what he said about the experience of working with me: "I wrote the nonfiction, It Didn’t Start with Trump. My first attempt at editing and publishing was [with another company]. The publication was so bad it had to be revised. In searching for a good editor, Full Circle Books of Edmond, Oklahoma suggested Walter B. Jenkins. For me and my book this was a very good fit. The revision is being published and it relates the message that needed to be stated. The book retained its meaning and in many places was improved with better explanation because Walter had highlighted parts as vague, imprecise or ambiguous. He also eliminated possible contradictions, errors and paradoxes that would diminish the character and quality. Since I wrote it and understood my intent, I was too close to perceive these errors and [the other company I hired] did not correct these. Walter Jenkins converted a rough, difficult to read, error filled book into a pleasure to read book, still filled with unpalatable facts and events of recent US history. Thousands of errors were eliminated to present the credibility and integrity desired in a nonfiction.

"I am a retired electronic engineer that has worked in competitive commercial industry for 45 years and I believe this was valuable in writing recent US history that needed to be documented. Engineering and technical companies are very conservative on the political spectrum, and that contributed to me writing this book. Engineering disciplines must be objective rather than subjective. Emotion and opinion are insignificant to the objective and rigorous rules application for developing electronic technology. My experience assisted me in collecting data, sorting and assembling it to a logical presentation. My engineering experience helped me document and tabulate data, facts and events but did not provide the skills to add essential readability to a nonfiction and accuracy check. [The other company] was expensive and provided virtually no improvement. My first revision was embarrassing. Walter Jenkins corrected the embarrassment to a book I am proud to publish. Thank you, Mr. Walter Jenkins."
